These morphological data provide neural anatomical information, as well as foundational knowledge for computational and preclinical studies of vagus nerve stimulation. The binary traces resulted from segmentation of Masson's trichrome stained cervical and subdiaphragmatic vagus nerve cross sections from adult rats perfused with paraformaldehyde. The dataset contains TIFF files for traces of 9 left cervical and 9 anterior subdiaphragmatic rat vagus nerve samples, as well as a .mat file with the morphological output measures, totaling ~2 MB."}}
